Have you done a Think Pink Session that you would like to share?  You can send them to me and I will post on the public blog for the Think Pink website...and eventually I will update the galleries on the website, too.

If you are sending for the blog...
Resize to 100dpi and 500px on the long side.
Email the images (up to 6)
Include text about the client.
There are past entries on there if you want ideas.
YOU MUST HAVE PERMISSION AND A SIGNED MODEL RELEASE FROM THE CLIENT.

Change in Non-Profit Status

Think Pink Photography will be classified as a CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION now rather than a NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION.

What is the difference?
Simply put, if and organization accepts tax exempt donations, it needs to file as a non-profit organization with tax exempt status.

Why the change?
After talking with the attorney, we agree that the paperwork and requirements to stay compliant as a non-profit/tax exempt organization are just too much for me to handle on my own.  I'm trying to get some administrative help because I'd like to focus my efforts on more public relations and awareness.  Even with that help, the requirements to stay a non-profit/tax exempt organization are pretty extreme and I can't take that on right now.

How does this affect everyone with Think Pink?
Basically, this ONLY affects us through donations and fundraising.  We will still provide support to the Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation in addition to the charitable Think Pink sessions...but, the donations will go directly through the Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation rather than to Think Pink.

Since funds will not be accepted in Think Pink's name, we do not need to be tax exempt...and not being tax exempt saves a lot of paperwork and time on our end!  We can still support their cause without the extra administrative burden.

Now, our donate page links directly to the Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation donation page.  Payments sent by mail are now sent to the Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation at the address provided on our donate page.  When you make a donation, please put "Think Pink" in the notes of your online payment or the memo line of your check.

Wanted to say thank you and I apologize! Thank you because again, the response to Think Pink continues to be overwhelming! And I apologize because I know I'm behind on updating the network and I want to get you all listed as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience as I returned emails. The network will be updated by the end of the weekend. Again, so sorry for the delay. As of this afternoon, everyone is on the mailing list, just need to add you to the network listing.

I'm actually getting someone to help me with the administrative side of things so that we don't continually stay behind. So that will improve I promise!!

I mentioned in that blog entry, it is NOT normal that we will ask for donations outside of your referrals or template sales. We just thought this effort would be a great way to show the Eric R. Beverly Family foundation how excited we are about Think Pink.

You can donate money based on Think Pink referrals, Think Pink template sales, or your own personal or business donation. Even small donations help - as much as our network has grown, just think if everyone donated just $10 how much that could add up to! So even if you haven't had a Think Pink referral or sold any Think Pink templates, please consider making a donation!

Look in the next month for an interview with Eric and Danielle Beverly. I want you all to get to know them and more about what their foundation does now and will do in the future as they grow. Founded in October 2007 by Ohio Photographer, Tennille King, Think Pink Photography strives to help breast cancer survivors and their families celebrate life with charitable photography sessions. Individuals may choose to document their fight against the disease before or during treatment, or prefer to capture their victory with a session after treatment is completed. Photographers world-wide are now available to donate time and talent to celebrate life and support the cause. There is no cost or obligation to the breast cancer patient.

Think Pink Photography is a non-profit organization. Any profits Think Pink Photography receives through donations or various fund raising efforts are donated to the Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation - a foundation dedicated to promoting education, increasing awareness, and providing support and assistance to families that have been touched by breast cancer.

Clients participating in a Think Pink Session will receive a complimentary photo session, as well as 20 finished prints from the session. They will also receive a discount off of any additional portraits they wish to purchase, although there is absolutely no purchase required at any time.
